Very good breakfast 👍 always stop for breakfast here on my way to Mexico
Great food and good service. Had a huge, delicious chicken fried steak! Recommend.
Good mood food, great customer service, love the updates to the restaurant!! One of my favorite places in Alpine.
Small eatery with good homestyle cooking. The packcakes were fluffy and the eggs were cooked perfectly. I didn't care for the sausage patty, but the bacon was fine. The service was good and prompt and the coffee was hot. Overall it was a good experience. The cleanliness of the facility was average, but it is a diner. I recommend it for breakfast for sure.
A wonderful little family owned restaurant. The chicken fried steak, burritos, Chorizo breakfast taco… and cheeseburger were all wonderful. Very friendly staff.
Service was a bit slow to get menus, then drinks and finally just to order, but it's a small owned, very busy restaurant! Food came after only a small wait and both servers that helped us were kind and friendly. Food was delicious and homestyle cooked! Pancakes were fluffy and tasty and the eggs were cooked perfectly. I hate watery, scrambled eggs! This is our second stop here, we drive here from Marfa for breakfast.
Very nice people but the hamburger and fries were greasy.
My best friend and I came here for lunch. The service was speedy and super good! The waitress made sure we were taken care of. Both our food came out tasting amazing!
Great food, I got a breakfast taco.
Best burger and fries I've had in a very long time. You can't go wrong with the Mario Burger basket. We will visiting this place every time we're in town. Love it.
Love this place and the people that work there
We were told to sit anywhere so we did. After 20 minutes I went to go get our own menus. This got the wait staff's attention so they came and took our orders promptly. My wife ordered fried catfish and it didn't have any condiments when it arrived. She had to go back to the front and ask for tarter and cocktail sauce. (The waitress wasn't coming by our table at all.) The waitress didn't know what cocktail sauce was but finally brought her an expired bottle of cocktail sauce from the kitchen. The burgers were adequate. I liked the french fries. Probably not going back.
Chicken fried steak with jalapeño gravy was TOTALLY worth it.
Delicious! Fair price for really good food. Would recommend
Usually pretty packed but they're pretty good at breakfast; they have menudo on the weekends.
This place is great! It's almost always busy but they are still able to dish out plate after plate of food with impressive speed. The food was great and server was pretty attentive but busy with the lunch hour crowd. Definently a good food stop which considerably cheap prices and good food. 🌟⭐🌟⭐🌟
Good food, served good by friendly folks. Best home fries in town and the burgers are delicious
The service was good and quick. I was impressed because the place was packed. The food was really good!
What an excellent find. This is the best in a diner experience you can find. #1 is number one in my book.
Passing through town, this was a laid back place. The food was good.
Very busy spot for breakfast. Old tables and decor. Staff was busy but polite. We enjoyed our breakfast. Food tasted good. Coffee was okay. Would return and eat here again.
Breakfast was good compared to other area options. Prices are reasonable. They serve American style Mexican breakfast burritos, not authentic but they taste good. Service was a mixed bag as we were served by one server who was good and friendly and another who was indifferent. Definitely busy for a later (after 9am) breakfast. Parking lot can get full but street parking is free and there's plenty nearby.
First time here and I must say that the service was fast and friendly and the food was delicious.
Chicken Fried Steak was huge!
We went yesterday and I got a cheeseburger and fries. My burger was very good But the fries were only partially done, the thin slices were good but I didn't eat the thick ones.My husband got the enchiladas. The rice was mush, the beans looked like someone had already ate them. He said the enchiladas were not good either. He ate it because he was so hungry. I was a bit overpriced too. He ended up going to the pizza place down the rd.We won't go back.
Great chicken fried steak. Quick and friendly service. Reasonable prices too.
Burgers were so good
Cashier was very friendly. Food was good and hot.
Green Chicken Enchiladas were spicy and delicious!
It was a nice place to have lunch on a busy travel day. The menu was adequate, service was good. Restroom was clean. They were busy, which suggests popular. Parking might be tight at peak breakfast and lunch times. I think the close before dinner
This place is not fancy, but they are super friendly and they are serving up comfort food with care! They even made my little girl’s pancakes like Mickey Mouse ears!
Great food and people
Great tasting authentic mexican food
Food was delicious, staff was efficient.
We knew we wanted Chicken Fried Steak and read that they made a good one here with Jalapeno gravy. When we saw the size of it, we decided to split one and we were glad that we did. Great food and plenty of it!
The absolute best breakfast tacos! I'm so hooked on them I havent been able to bring myself to try something else!
Great breakfast, great service! It's always been good.
Decent Mexican and American food and prices Excellent service
It was good. Food was hot and we got it timely. We liked the cheese fried the best. I got the chicken enchiladas and would get them again. We got the chicken fried steak. It looked good, just too heaby after hiking all day. The waitresses was helpful and took great care of us. We would stop there again.
This place is great! It is very underrated for the quality it serves. The wait is not too long at all, even when the resturaunt was all full from table to table the wait was quick and still maintained quality and taste. It's a very nice place to stop and eat if you are passing through! 🌟⭐🌟⭐🌟
It's a nice local place thats cheap but if you're visting I would suggest somewhere else with a bit more character. Food was adequate..
Excellent chicken fried steak with jalapeno gravy! Best on the menu!
Good food cooks and waitresses good job
Great family owned restaurant.Excellent for breakfast & delicious coffee.Open early and as all things West Texas, closes early.Be sure to head there early or no food for you.Easy to get to and plenty of parking.Breakfast plates are reasonable priced and plenty of food.
We stepped in toward the end of breakfast time. We ordered breakfast tacos & coffee which came out quickly. Tacos were delicious and so were the potatoes. The coffee was fresh and robust. Great experience! We will be back our next time through Alpine, TX.
I loved it, food was sooooo good, thanks for a great time
Service was great and fast, food was just as delicious!!
Good food in a casual environment. Everyone was super friendly and nice to us!
First of all they had hot tea, unlike the McDonald's across the street. I ordered the Magoorito (breakfast burrito) and coffee and my wife wasn't feeling good so she just had hot tea and a side order of bacon. The food was great. The restaurant was clean and the tables were clean. The service was prompt, polite and cheerful. Also the rest rooms were clean.
Nice little place. Nothing fancy, but good place and food. Hot very busy as we ate.
